Research interests:

My research interests are clustered in four areas: 1) gender history, the history of sexuality, feminism and queer theory; 2) oral history and cultural memory; 3) political violence and conflict, revolution and political activism; and 4) Spanish and Latin American history and Hispanic studies. I am currently working on a collaborative oral history project on the Cuban Revolution and writing a book on sexuality in socialist Cuba. I am Director of the Roehampton Centre for Research in Sex, Gender and Sexuality (SeGS).
